Problem / Idea

STEP 1

I often find myself browsing through social media to research my favorite musicians and how they carry themselves in their careers. More often than not, I like their music even more after doing so. Having worked in the music industry - I find a huge disconnect between the fan, the artist, and most importantly - the community.

Music is the most popular thing in the world, so why are we treating it like it is a thing of the past? I ventured out to close the gap.

The idea is to create an app for the music community to talk to each other and stay up to date on the latest music and merch releases.

There are so many ways to be a part of the music community. We can go on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Spotify, Soundcloud, Reddit and more.

Let's be real... Competing with these brands isn't realistic, especially on a large scale. the solution is to niche down. Creating one app for a each band/artist is the solution. This will promote the feeling of exclusivity to the fans and allow musicians to integrate e-commerce for their future merch releases, which will provide clear value for the musicians to promote the app further.

If Kennedy uses the musician’s app to receive notifications about his favorite artist then he can stay on top of the latest music, merch, and ticket releases.

If Kennedy uses the musician’s app to learn more about them then he won’t waste time by searching through other social medias.
