FoamThing
ABOUT
FoamThing is an automatic soap dispenser brand. This project gave me a basic understanding of establishing a new company while thinking about branding, product photos, marketing, e-commerce, analytics, and web design.

Design Direction
STEP 1
I wanted to pull a lot of inspiration from modern, technological companies such as simplehuman and Apple. The concept is to depict FoamThing as a tech gadget, while also being useful and tasteful in any bathroom.
Product Images
STEP 2
The product was modeled from scratch using existing videos of the product online. Besides the diameter of the product - there were no exact dimensions to go off of. I didn’t have FoamThing in real life, so photography was not an option.
Website / Marketing
STEP 3
I created photo and video marketing material for the brand. Although the ads performed better than average, in the end, the experiment was a fail. I am certain that the combination of a useless product and a poor website was the cause. The brand failed at getting the necessary attention and didn’t evoke trust in the product. Because of this underwhelming result, I wanted to perfect UI/UX design to create a better experience for the user in the future.
